In this webinar, we will be sharing our insights and experience of supporting local authorities going through local government reorganisation and being engaged in devolution (including the establishment of new strategic/combined authorities), with a particular focus on the impact on local authority companies:

    • The importance of planning to ensure a smooth transition for local authority companies on vesting day
    • Key considerations in relation to interests and corporate relationships, including managing competing or duplicate corporate entities
    • Practical mechanism for transferring company interest into new unitary authorities including the interface with Structural Changes Order and the statutory framework on LGR as well as local arrangements
    • Managing the transition of functions to strategic (combined authorities) where there is an interface with local authority companies including those former LEP entities
