• I am a commercial property lawyer specialising in commercial and mixed use development and regeneration schemes. I advise local authorities, central government agencies and NHS trusts on all aspects of transactional real estate work related to development projects, including site assembly, land promotion/hybrid options, collaboration agreements, forward funding and joint venture arrangements.

I also have significant experience advising local authority pension funds on high value investment portfolios, disposals and related estate management work.  In addition, I provide legal support to a number of local authorities in delivery of private and social housing policy including the acquisition of property for purposes of providing temporary housing and accommodation for Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC). I have a good understanding of local authority governance processes involved in the acquisition, development, management and disposal of land and the interface between property development, planning, public procurement rules and subsidy control.

I have also acted for private sector landowners and several national house builders on the disposal and acquisition of sites for residential led development, advising on consortium projects, garden villages and golden brick development structures.

I have delivered training sessions on a range of property development related topics including; the negotiation of development documentation; the impact of the public procurement regime on development agreements; drafting points for developers: sustainable urban drainage agreements; and land transactions involving charities.
