Having worked in-house, I have unique insight into the practical and strategic challenges facing local authorities. I bring the specialist experience, strategic insight, and project management capability that complex regeneration schemes demand - combining legal, commercial, and strategic expertise to drive successful delivery from inception through to completion.
My experience spans the full lifecycle of mixed-use regeneration schemes. I handle the complex suite of documentation required to deliver these deals, alongside acquisitions and disposals for both investment and development purposes. My expertise also includes site assembly strategies, CPO delivery, rights to light, and general commercial property transactions. I have particular knowledge of the interaction between real estate, procurement regulations, subsidy control, best consideration requirements, and the planning regime. My clients include local authorities, government bodies, and joint venture partnerships.

Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council – advising on the large-scale brownfield regeneration of a 12-hectare site in Birkenhead, delivering 1,400 new homes in support of Wirral Council's 2021–2037 Local Plan. Leading legal on this £575 million grant-funded scheme, structuring and negotiating master and plot-specific agreements, option agreements, access licences, infrastructure deeds, and overage protections across a phased development expected to span over 25 years.
London Borough of Tower Hamlets – sole legal adviser on this flagship £300 million housing-led regeneration scheme, delivering over 400 homes including shared ownership, equity, and affordable rent tenures. Advising on strategic procurement and delivering the full legal suite including development agreements, leases, and overage provisions, delivered under compressed timescales.
Westminster City Council – leading on a large-scale housing development delivering 436 homes, including both affordable and private units. Advising on the use of CPO powers, section 203 powers, and appropriation, together with comprehensive governance and decision-making support including cabinet reports.
Various local authorities – advising on the real estate aspects of leisure operator procurements, supporting procurement colleagues across a number of instructions.
