I am a Solicitor at Bevan Brittan in the Procurement, Subsidy Control and Competition team, specialising in procurement law and subsidy control. I have advised a range of public bodies, drawing on experience gained in shared legal services supporting both district councils and London boroughs, where I developed strong expertise across a broad range of public sector legal work.
In my in-house roles I gained extensive experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts including services and goods contracts, consultancy agreements, software/IT contracts, framework agreements and call-off contracts. I also developed cross-disciplinary knowledge in corporate governance, planning, planning enforcement, commercial property, and their interaction with public sector decision-making.
In my current role, I advise on procurement processes, ensuring compliance and provide guidance on subsidy control matters, including compliance assessments and risk mitigation. I draw on my practical in-house experience to deliver clear, pragmatic advice tailored to the needs of public bodies and commercial teams.
