  • 2025 has already proven to be an extraordinary and pivotal year for HR professionals, marked by the ambitious and fast-moving programme of employment law reforms stemming from the Employment Rights Bill, which is set to come into law imminently. Employers cannot afford to delay – preparations for these reforms needs to begin now to ensure compliance and avoid potential risks.

Chaired by Lee Carroll, this session took us through the evolving and challenging employment law landscape. Lee was joined by expert speakers Andrew Uttley, Helena Morrissey and Heather Stickland, who discussed what the changes mean for your organisation and how to navigate them effectively.

Our speakers gave a practical and comprehensive overview of the reforms to ‘casual’ workers’ rights, collective redundancy/’fire and rehire’ practices, unfair dismissal law, trade union legislation, and SSP.

They discussed the most recent of the government consultations and amendments on these reforms and the government’s intended actions. They also reviewed key employment cases that have been decided in the last six months, offering insight into their potential impact on your organisations.
