I am a Legal Director specialising in housing management litigation, acting mainly for Registered Providers and Local Authorities. I have built up extensive expertise in this specialism, acting within the practice area for over 15 years.
I advise social landlords on all aspects of housing management, including anti-social behaviour, possession claims and tenancy fraud. I am experienced in obtaining civil injunctions, frequently on a without notice basis. I also act on contempt applications following breaches of injunctions, and if necessary subsequent possession claims as a result of such breaches.
I represent clients on all areas of tenancy management, including capacity issues, Public Law, Equality Act and Human Rights Act challenges, rent arrears, succession claims and queries, accelerated possession claims and breach of tenancy injunctions. I frequently oversee multi-agency approaches to resolving matters, including through the use of alternative dispute resolution.
I regularly undertake training nationally for clients, as well as advising clients at legal surgeries, to provide them with added value services.
I am delighted to have been ranked in both the Legal 500 as part of a Tier 1 department in consecutive years, and individually ranked in Chambers & Partners as an Associate to Watch in 2022, 2023 and 2024.
