I am a real estate lawyer specialising in renewable energy, decarbonisation and heat network projects.
Decarbonisation is an area I am passionate about and I combine specialist knowledge and experience of running teams on complex projects to deliver high quality and relevant advice. I understand that the property aspects of a transaction are one part of a larger multi-faceted picture. Recognised as a Leading Partner in Legal 500, I am also one of only 40 individuals in the UK (and 100 worldwide) to be named as a Legal 500 Green Ambassador.
I have expertise in solar and battery schemes, EV, both on and offshore wind as well as biomass and biogas and district heat networks. I work on projects from inception to sale and financing. My clients include developers, investors, financial institutions and landowners.
With a strong reputation in the clean energy sector, clients appreciate my ability to understand the commercial issues at hand and my commitment to getting projects to completion. Combining specialist property expertise with a wider understanding of the legal and commercial requirements of energy and decarbonisation projects, I help clients navigate complex developments and deliver successful outcomes.
Harriet Murray-Jones has been working with the team at Boom Power over the past few years on all our renewable energy development sites, specifically in the Solar and Battery Storage sector. Harriet and her team have addressed all property matters across in excess of 25 projects where in many cases we have had multiple landowners, well over 100 landowners within the portfolio. Harriet is incredibly efficient, pragmatic, knowledgeable and always seeks to find a solution with the mindset of ensuring said negotiations will ultimately be accepted by the banks funding the construction capital. We have used many property lawyers across many legal firms, and we face many property lawyers as we conduct our business, without question Harriet and her team are head and shoulders above the rest, hence moving across with her when she joined to Bevan Brittan.
