• I am a commercial contracts lawyer with extensive experience of advising NHS organisations and Local Authorities on complex contracting arrangements, including joint ventures, outsourcing contracts and infrastructure projects such as PFI and PPPs.

I assist PCTs and NHS trusts to understand not only the contractual and risk issues, but also the procedural steps they need to take, and anticipate the reactions of independent organisations and banks to their proposals. I am currently acting for a number of NHS trusts, foundation trusts and local authorities in respect of the procurement of outsourced services, including pathology services, outpatient pharmacy services and education services.

I have also advised bidders seeking to contract with commissioners for a range of clinical and non-clinical services. My healthcare contracts experience also includes advising on equitable access, and the acquisition of a hospital by a Foundation Trust following dissolution of an NHS Trust.

I have advised on a number of large acute hospital PFI schemes procured through competitive dialogue, including those in Liverpool, Bristol and Tunbridge Wells.  I have advised clients in relation to a variety of operational PFI issues including variations, refinancing and changes in control.

I am advising on a number of LIFT schemes, and I advised Community Health Partnerships in relation to the updating of the LIFT documentation in 2015.
