Leading commercial law firm Bevan Brittan has boosted its technology and digital health expertise with the appointment of a new specialist partner.
Joining from Ashfords, Brett Lambe has more than 15 years of experience in the technology and digital health sectors, and has advised on a range of matters including digital transformation projects, outsourcing, international distribution, software and app development, and IP commercialisation.
His broader sector expertise has seen him advise an impressive list of technology, healthcare and retail businesses on the procurement and development of AI, cloud/SaaS and e-commerce systems, as well as bespoke development and licensing arrangements for software, systems and apps (acting for both customers and vendors).
Brett’s tech sector knowledge was also enhanced by two notable secondments. He acted as in-house legal counsel to both a leading health retailer developing and launching its digital health and wellness offering, and a Fortune 500 multinational diversified technology and industrial company.
Bristol-based Brett will be supporting Bevan Brittan’s independent health and care and private sector technology clients in his new role, as well as adding his significant experience in tech and intellectual property law to the business’s overall offering. Ten lawyers now make up its specialist Commercial Technology team, including four partners.
He is Bevan Brittan’s fifth partner hire of 2025 and his arrival is the latest positive news for the growing firm. Last month, the business announced impressive financial results for 2024-25, with revenue rising by a record-high 14% to £86.7m, and profits also increasing.
Brett said: “I’m delighted to be joining Bevan Brittan as it continues its impressive run of success. This is an exciting next step in my career with a business that is clearly going places and a team recognised as market leaders in their field.
“It is a fascinating time in the tech and health sectors, with new digital innovations and technologies such as AI pushing things forward rapidly and transforming the patient experience. This opportunity was too good to miss and I am looking forward to supporting our national and international clients in facing the emerging challenges and opportunities.”
Vincent Buscemi, partner and head of Independent Health and Care at Bevan Brittan, added: “Brett’s arrival adds yet more experience to our market-leading offering in this area and will enable us to offer an even deeper level of support in key areas for clients.
“Digital change and transformation projects, outsourcing and strategic partnerships are all areas which we know clients are focused on. Brett’s impressive experience will enhance the breadth and depth of the services we can offer to clients as they continue to adapt to new tech-related opportunities in the coming years.”
Previous partners who have joined Bevan Brittan this year include Lucy Thomas and Daniel Halstead, who are both helping to develop its offering in the rapidly-expanding living sector, finance expert Kerry Gibbons and pensions specialist Joel Eytle.
