The Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (“PSIRF”) is due to be implemented nationally this autumn, to replace the Serious Incident Investigation framework. The statutory Duty of Candour has been with us for some time now and many organisations have systems in place to discharge their obligations; but many of these are linked into the incident investigation processes.
In this session, Carlton Sadler and Hannah Taylor, partners in our Health & Care Regulatory team, considered:
- a reminder of the Duty of Candour from both a public and independent sector perspective;
- a brief overview of PSIRF, and;
- how to align your obligations under the Duty of Candour within PSIRF.
