Bevan Brittan appoints banking and finance partner to support healthcare and financial services clients

Leading commercial law firm Bevan Brittan has welcomed a new banking and finance partner who will support its work across both the health and care and financial services sectors.

Amrish Sharma, who joins from DWF, has more than 18 years of experience in advising lenders, private credit funds, private equity (PE) sponsors and borrowers on acquisition finance, leveraged finance and healthcare transactions across the UK mid-market.

This includes acting on sponsor-backed buyouts, refinancings, bolt-ons and portfolio transactions across sectors, with a particular emphasis on healthcare, professional services and mid-market PE.

Based in Bevan Brittan’s London office, Amrish will take on a dual role. In addition to supporting borrowers as part of the firm’s Independent Health & Care team, he will also advise lenders connected to its Insurance & Financial Services offering.

Amrish is Bevan Brittan’s eighth senior hire of 2026, as the firm continues to invest in and grow the services that it can provide to clients across all of its key service areas. 

The firm’s other partner appointments this year include property and renewable energy specialist Jess Jeanes, new head of Central and Local Government Kuldip Dhanoya and litigation expert Oliver Wright. They have been joined by corporate partner Nick Fothergill, construction and infrastructure specialist Perveen Akhter, employment partner Ben Gorner and corporate specialist Bharti Moore.

Bevan Brittan recorded a 13th successive year of revenue growth in 2025/26, with revenue increasing by a record-high of 17% to £101.2m. Profit was also up 12.9% to £22.1m.
