Judicial review

Judicial review is the procedure by which judges examine the decisions of public bodies to ensure that they act lawfully and fairly in reaching those decisions.

Our public sector clients face a number of challenges which impact on the way in which they carry out their functions – in doing so they make complex and finely balanced decisions (many of which directly impact on individuals) on a daily basis. Sometimes individuals or organisations seek to challenge those decisions – often by way of judicial review.
