I am a safeguarding expert advising across a wide client base in the public, private and third sector.
I have a special interest in advising on student welfare and safeguarding around misconduct, mental health, disability and special needs and also support toward care leavers in the education system. This assists Higher Education Institution’s to best meet their duties to optimise safety and support toward all students.
I have also produced training and written about the above, including using trauma informed approaches for managing misconduct and investigative support and governance from a safeguarding perspective. I also work proactively within all levels of education to assist in moving HEI’s and others toward a prevent model of safeguarding rather than one which is reactive thereby strengthening the safeguarding systems for HEI’s, enhancing reputation and promoting partnership working with health, police and all other relevant bodies.
