I am a Solicitor in the Health & Care Regulatory Team, with a particular interest in mental health and mental capacity law. My clients include Local Authorities, Integrated Care Boards, NHS Trusts and Housing Associations.
I provide advice to health & care providers and commissioners and housing associations in relation to Court of Protection matters including disputes as to best interests, challenges to treatment decisions, safeguarding concerns and human rights issues.
Prior to qualifying, I trained as a Solicitor Apprentice at Bevan Brittan LLP and previously defended personal injury and employer liability claims for self-insured clients and local government bodies. I also acted for Housing Associations and Local Authorities in relation to anti-social behaviour disputes, complex hoarding matters and tenancy breaches. I have a special interest in how mental capacity law interacts with housing law.
