I advise housing associations, local authorities, charities and private companies working in the housing sector on all areas of corporate and governance work.
This includes:
- Mergers and collaborative working
- Corporate re-structuring
- Diversification, including development structuring
- Regulatory and charity law requirements
- Governance structures
- Supporting executives and Boards on structures for growth
- Board training and company secretarial support
- Consideration of funding requirements and restrictions as relevant to corporate transactions, including advising on restrictions, obtaining appropriate consents and advising on intra-group lending arrangements
- Advising on secured lending through private placements, syndicated and bilateral loan agreements and public bond issues
- Advising on strategic disposal programmes

I have written several articles including:

- The consolidation of three large housing association groups and associated commercial/subsidiary re-structure
- Set-up of a new RP and trading arm for an ALMO (which was an unregistered parent)
- Set-up of the first charitable non-registered housing association to receive large scale stock from a private registered provider
- Advising on a corporate joint venture between a local authority and housing association to deliver a flexible rent model and drive income from market sales
