I specialise in complex contracting and partnering arrangements (with or without procurement), advising on major transactions for clients within the healthcare field. I manage outsourcing, shared services and commercialisation and my experience and expertise extends to all aspects of the procurement process. Acting for both governing bodies and bidders, means I understand the challenges and opportunities faced by both parties and provide comprehensive advice. I also lead our work on operational PFI schemes within the health sector.
In my sixteen years working on commercial contracts and projects I have advised on transactions for: pharmacies, pathology departments, private patient units, renal services, radiotherapy, MRI & PET/CT, soft and hard FM and retail. I manage the entire cycle of a procurement process; from shaping the commercial aspects of the competition, through to running the process, drafting contracts, negotiating with bidders and completing the final agreements.
I am also experienced in PFIs, having closed a number of schemes for NHS clients. My practice also includes working on variations, renegotiation and refinancing for both the public and private sector.
Publications:
I have contributed articles to the Health Service Journal and the Health Investor magazine.
