I specialise in clinical negligence litigation with 7 years of experienced in handling defendant clinical negligence claims at Bevan Brittan. I spent the previous seven years specialising in claimant clinical negligence and I feel this mixed experience has given me a balanced view from both sides. I qualified as a Legal Executive (through the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, CILEx) in 2007. I then went on to dual-qualify and was admitted to the Law Society's Roll of Solicitors in 2016. I now predominantly assist NHS Trusts and private consultants to resolve claims which are being brought against them.
I defend the NHS and other providers and insurers of healthcare on a range of clinical negligence claims, including but not limited to neurological, ophthalmic, orthopaedic and surgical claims. An important aspect of my work is ensuring that all clinicians (doctors, nurses and midwives) are supported during the claims process and ensuring that claims are dealt with as swiftly and as cost effectively as possible.
